Georgia Nursing, May-Jul 2006
Contributing to this year's successes at the Capitol was the GNA sponsored legislative day events held on January 26. The day's activities brought more than 500 nurses and nursing students to the Capitol to participate in educational activities (CE), lobbying, a media conference and a legislative reception.
Throughout the day, nurses worked to gain the support of each of their Representatives and Senators. Several elected officials spoke on behalf of nursing legislation to local and statewide media.
