This innovative book and kit is designed for youngsters, ages 8 years and up. It contains everything needed to create and communicate via a variety of codes. Included are two sets of semaphore flags, two Morse code units (AA batteries not supplied), two cylindrical cipher devices, originally invented by Thomas Jefferson and independently invented by others. The U. S. Army's cylindrical cipher device, M-94, developed by Parker Hitt and Joseph Mauborgne was used from 1922 to 1943. The two devices in this kit are reasonable smaller replicas.
