Nurses professional portfolio unveiled

The AzNA Nurses Professional Portfolio, a cornerstone of the Professional Advocacy program, was introduced at the Nurses Week Kick Off Clinical Conference. The Professional Portfolio is a life-time tool, designed not only to contain the evidences of career growth but to guide the nurse towards activities and accomplishments assuring continuing competency and professional development.

The portfolio was developed by Shirley K. Bell, EdD, RN, with input from the Reflective Practice Task Force. The Task Force members are Carol Stevens, MS, RN, Donna Adams, DNSc, RN,,Lasca Beck, MS, RN, Nancy Cisar, MSN, RN, CCRN, Sue Collins, BSN, RN, and Barbara Kemp Miller, PhD, RN.

The portfolio can be ordered on the accompanying form found opposite this page. AzNA offers a seminar with nursing contact hour credit to teach nurses about use of the portfolio. Please call the Arizona Nurses
