Nearly 4,000 AARN members voted in this year's election for new Provincial Council representatives in three of six AARN regions and
for members to Provincial Nominating Committee.
Marilyn, Liz and Shannon.assume office on July 1, 2002 for a three-year term. The AARN thanks the following representatives who completed their terms on June 30: Gail Dodd (Calgary/West), Ruth Stewart (Edmonton/West), Simon Keeping (South) and, Nancy Goddard (Central).
Ongoing Council members for the 2002-2003 term are: Sharon Richardson (President), Jeanne Besner (President-Elect), Jeannie Mills (Northeast), Linda Wilks (Northwest),
Dianne MacGregor (Edmonton/West), Kathy Miller (Edmonton/West), Agnes Hoveland (Central),

Provincial Nominating Committee Election Results
AARN members in all regions were eligible to vote for candidates to the Provincial Nominating Committee.
The following members were elected and will begin work on the 2003 election:

AARN Past President Louise Rogers will continue as Chair of the Committee for the 2002-2003 term. At its June 2002 meeting, Provincial Council appointed Jeannie Mills (Northeast Region) as the Council's representative to the committee. Summary
Trish Picherack was appointed Provincial Scrutineer in March and supervised the ballot opening and counting process.
Highlighted rows indicate regions where an election was held for Provincial Council representative. All regions were eligible to vote for Provincial Nominating Committee.
*A programming error resulted in 1,358 ballots being mailed to members who were not eligible to vote (e.g. Associate Members), while 1,186 members who were eligible did not receive ballots. The error was discovered in time and ballots were mailed to the 1,186 eligible voters on May 10. The voting module was then programmed to reject ballots from the ineligible list, resulting in 95 ballots being rejected. RN
