Regulation Drafting Process Underway
In late November, Alberta Health and Wellness sent AARN the first draft of regulations for registered nurses under the Health Professions Act (HPA). The timeline at left shows the next steps towards proclamation for registered nurses. It is tentative and depends on numerous stakeholders.
As of December 2003, the following professions had completed the process outlined and were regulated by HPA:
