RIM in Mexico initiative

Information Management Journal, May/Jun 2003

Responding to interest expressed by Gerardo Velazquez of Arkamax, an information management solutions provider, ARMA International is supporting local efforts to develop records and information management (RIM) programs in Mexico with the formation of the ARMA Mexico Steering Committee. The committee will discuss the need for development of RIM in Mexico, realistic limitations that ARMA has in assisting the Mexican RIM market, and the potential for establishing ARMA Mexico.

Arkamax is providing local coordination for an initial meeting of the proposed steering committee on April 29 in Mexico City. Local contacts within the Mexican private and public sectors who are likely to have interest in this RIM initiative have been invited to the meeting. ARMA Executive Director/CEO Peter Hermann, CAE, will attend on behalf of ARMA International.

ARMA members who have contacts in Mexico that may be interested in this event are encouraged to contact Gerardo Velazquez at gerardo.velazquez@arkamax.net, or Peter Hermann at phermann@arma.org for details on how to attend.
