DocuVantage Adds Web-based Document Scanning Feature
Information Management Journal, Sep/Oct 2004
Document Advantage Corp. (DocuVantage) has developed software WebScan2PDF - to allow users to scan, spell check, and store documents in standardized PDF format in Optix without leaving their Web browser. WebScan2PDF captures scanned images, creates a text layer using optical character recognition, and converts the document into Adobe's PDF format. The technology allows remote workers to assemble, categorize, and route documents securely through an organization via the Web.
