New On-line degree completion program

Kansas Nurse, Feb 1999

The University of Kansas School of Nursing is putting registered nurses on the fast track toward their bachelor's degree with a new online degree completion program. Funded through a three-year, $594,794 grant from the DHHS' Division of Nursing, the program stems from recommendations from area registered nurses who voiced a need for a program that fits their personal and professional lives.

With the program still under development, the KU School of Nursing presently has several of the RN-to BSN program's required courses available on-line with the remainder to be ready by June 2000. Students in Kansas and Missouri already are taking advantage of this program. The School's Student Affairs Office, which has received inquiries from across the country, is currently accepting applications for this webbased program. For more information about any of these programs, call 913.588.1619. Source: University of Kansas Medical Center
