If you're reading this magazine, chances are good you're a Lutheran. But if you have some ideas about God, the afterlife and human nature and don't know which faith to practice, www.beliefnet.com claims to have the answer to your prayers. In 20 questions, its Belief-O-Matic quiz asks you to rank your views about the divine, the afterlife, suffering, good works and human nature.

Belief-O-Matic then tallies your answers. You'll find the faith that best fits you, as well as how your beliefs align with other traditions.

The Lutheran's assistant editor and Web designer breathed a sigh of relief when Belief-O-Matic affirmed her beliefs fit best with mainline Christian Protestantism. Her second-best fit, however, would be among a meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
