The Division for Congregational Ministries' evangelism site catalogs original and republished content. For individuals, it provides resources under such questions as "Who is Jesus?" (FAQs and summaries of Bible stories in plain language), "How can I grow in faith?" (resources for pray er, study and service) and "How do I identify my gifts?" (an interactive spiritual gifts inventory). Leaders can find articles both theoretical and practical on discernment, worship and prayer. The congregational section addresses everything from developing a mission statement to understanding millennial members (those born after 1982) to step-by-step instructions for setting up a Web site. The site includes quite a few links, so you'll need to use your browser's "back" button for navigation.
This site features news, editorials and photo essays documenting sweatshop conditions worldwide. By far, Behind The Label's strength is its video interviews with sweatshop employees. Interviewees include a 23-year-old woman in El Salvador who tells of working 12 hours a day for six days a week (and through Saturday night to earn a Sunday off) and residents of New York's Chinatown affected by the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Although it's called "The Pastors," this site is intended for both lay and clergy. It offers audio and text sermons and congregational stories from pastors nationwide. The clergy represented are mostly Methodist, but the site solicits sermons and essays from "experienced pastors and churches from a variety of mainstream faiths."
