Five boys in five minutes

On April 24, Christiana and Erik Peltz's family grew by five in five minutes as they became first-time parents-of sons Austin, Blake, Clayton, Daniel and Ethan. They are members of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, Prior Lake, Minn.

Delivered by caesarean section at 29 weeks gestation and weighing from 2 pounds, 3 ounces to 3 pounds, 3 ounces, the quintuplets are expected to be released from the hospital this month.

They'll have a warm homecoming. Christiana Peltz's dad knit 22 blankets for his grandsons. Ready to help the new parents will be other parishioners organized by parish nurse Brenda Hawkinson. A local TV station and area businesses are providing necessities from cribs to diapers. A support fund also has been set up.
