Bell & Howell releases TransFormer 6.0

Today, Jun 2000

Bell & Howell's (800-220-3030/www.bellhowell.com) Mail and Messaging Technologies has released Version 6.0 of the TransFormer software line, with enhancements for parsing PCL and AFPDS files on Windows NT and porting the base system to the AIX platform.

TransFormer is a print-image and data manipulation tool, which allows users to change the appearance of legacy output without the need to modify applications. This latest release will allow the conversion of existing print streams to HTML and XML for web-enabling customer documents, and will offer broadened platform and print stream support. Version 6.0 also has additional capabilities for the Windows NT environment, a universal code that can be transported across platforms, and the ability to create effective documents through the availability of data glyph technology.

TransFormer Version 6.0 gives users a single tool for creating and modifying a greater variety of documents and complex output requirements. It is expected to be available in June 2000.
