Commerce Bank chooses integrated lockbox solution from DMP

Today, Jun 2000

Commerce Bank has selected item/payment processing solutions from Data Management Products (DMP, 402-4318810/www.dmpinc.com) for its Kansas City, Missouri operations center. In making this move, Commerce Bank has automated its wholesale lockbox operation with wholesale lockbox solution, CheckBOX. The retail lockbox operation will be installing DMP's CheckREMIT system in the second quarter of 2000. Commerce Bank is expected to convert its lockbox operations located in St. Louis to DMP solutions before the end of the year.

"Our goal was to choose an integrated solution for all our lockbox operations; wholesale, retail and wholetail," according to Andrew Kaplan, senior VP? Commerce Bank. The complete DMP solution offers a common backend database for both retail and wholesale lockbox payments. Commerce Bank's customers will benefit by seeing a "seamless transition" in information, reports and check images, no matter how the items are processed; wholesale, retail, or wholetail.

"The DMP solution will provide Commerce with an outsource solution for businesses whether they have 5 items or 500,000 items to process," Kaplan continued. This will give our customers the ability to outsource a part of the accounts receivable process, without reducing information they need."

"Commerce Bank went through a very thorough vendor/product investigation and evaluation process. We were certainly thrilled to be selected as their remittance partner," said Mike Reynolds, senior VP of DMP "We are looking forward to helping to facilitate a world-class wholesale and retail payment processing platform at Commerce Bank, one that will further strengthen their position in the marketplace."
