Unisys provides Comcast exception processing
Today, Dec 2001
Unisys (734-737-4968 / www.unisys.com) has signed an agreement with cable provider Comcast Cable Communications to implement the Unisys e-@ction Remittance Processing Solution (RPS). Unisys will provide this solution for Comcast's high-volume customer payments and exceptions transactions received by mail.
Comcast will use the Unisys RPS application to merge its remittance processing from locations across the US at a new service bureau facility in West Chester PA. This high-speed, automated processing center eliminates the need for manual exception processing.
The Unisys service bureau includes all categories of payment processing in its cost per item, providing cost savings for Comcast. "Comcast is committed to providing the best customer experience," said Patti Thorell, Comcast Cable. "This solution will help us ensure our customers receive timely and accurate posting of their subscriber payments."
"The addition of our West Chester service bureau with the RPS application enables us to provide a high-speed, automated solution to meet Comcast's existing remittance processing needs," said Tom Dunning, Unisys. "It allows us to expand our capacity to offer customers like Comcast solutions as their payment processing needs evolve."
