THE GOOGLE FREE POP-UP BLOCKER
A free tool available from http://www.google.com
While the worldwide web enables us to communicate more efficiently, it also allows annoying messages to reach us more easily and more often. One of the most irritating of these is the pop-under message, where another window is opened under the main window. While that second window "disappears" behind the first, it still must be closed if you want it to go away.
I finally grew so frustrated with pop-up messages that I downloaded the pop-up blocker toolbar available for free from the Google site. After the simple install, this became another toolbar on my browser. There is a counter of blocked pop-ups and I found the total amazing. I had grown so accustomed to dealing with them that I was unaware how ubiquitous they were.
A free tool that is easy to obtain, install, and use, the pop-up blocker makes net surfing so much easier and more enjoyable that I recommend it.
