And the New Editor is...
At this time, I am very pleased to announce that the new editor for this journal has been selected. Beginning in January, the new editor will be Dr. Jane Eason.
Dr. Eason is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the Louisiana State University Medical Center. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Louisiana State University Medical Center and a Master of Science in Community Health and Cardiac Rehabilitation at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. Her doctoral work was completed in exercise physiology at the University of Florida and she subsequently completed a post doctoral traineeship at Emory University in the Department of Cell Biology.

Jane has been an active member of the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Section for many years. Since 1995, she has been a member of the Section's Research Committee and most recently has served as co-chair of the that committee. For the past 3 years, Jane has served as an Associate Editor of Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy. She has assisted with abstracts of current literature and provided contact expertise as a manuscript reviewer. Jane has also been an active member the Section on Geriatrics, serving on that Section's Research Committee and as a Guest Editor for GeriNotes.
In addition to her involvement in several sections of the American Physical Therapy Association, Jane is also a member of the American Physiologic Society and American College of Sports Medicine. She has authored many papers in a wide variety of peer-reviewed journals and welcomes the opportunity to share her time and expertise in this new role with the Section.
