Publication Report

Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal, Mar 2004 by Eason, Jane

2004 APTA Combined sections Meeting, February 2004

The past year was another busy one for the Journal.

1. The Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal received the 2003 Outstanding Peer-Reviewed Journal award given by the American Physical Therapy Association.

2. In 2003, we published 4 issues totaling 1 36 pages. This exceeds our publication goal of 4 issues at 32 pages each. We continue to have a contract with the Orthopaedic section, APTA with costs projected for 160 pages or 40 pages in each issue.

3. Although advertising dollars continues to shrink slightly, we are still holding our own in terms of advertising revenue. We continue to encourage the section to proceed cautiously in terms in income expectations. Advertising dollars for publications like the Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal are shrinking in most companies and competition among journals is increasing. Many companies are advertising via electronic media. We continue to look for new companies for ad solicitation.

3. Officer and Committee Chair Reports for the remaining issues in 2004 are:

Vol 15 Issue 2

VoI 15 Issue 3

Vol 15 Issue 4

April 9, 2004

june 23, 2004

October 15, 2004

To insure publication, please submit your report on or before these dates.

Respectfully submitted,

Jane Eason, PhD, PT
