GE Industrial Sensing, Billerica, MA, has introduced the DPI 880, a four-iii-oiie handheld device that provides measurement of electrical, temperature, pressure, and flow parameters. The programmable device lets users obtain high-precision data for testing, configuring, and calibrating virtually any process parameter. The unit uses a proprietary Intelligent Digital Output Sensor (IDOS(TM)) communications interface that provides the benefit of plug-and-play pressure modules covering 32 pressure ranges from 25 mbar to 700 mbar. The DPI 880 measures and sources milliamps, millivolts, volts, ohms, frequency, thermocouples, RTDs, pulses, and pressure; captures switch values; and delivers 24-volt loop power. The meter features a backlit, full graphic display that creates multi-level readings and reports.
