NPUAP

The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel's (NPUAP) 9th National Conference, "Merging Missions," will be held February 25-26, 2005, at the Hyatt Regency in Tampa, FL.

Among its missions is the "Best Practice for Assessment and Treatment of Pressure Ulcers." This interactive conference offers participants the opportunity to review case studies involving management of wound infection, nutrition, tissue load, and complicated pressure ulcers. Topics include "Are You at Risk for Pressure Ulcer Litigation?" "What Regulations Impact Health Care Providers?" "How to Conduct an Incidence and Prevalence Study," "Does Nutrition Play a Role in Pressure Ulcer Healing?" "Documentation: Are We Telling the Right Story?" and "When Is Palliative Care the Goal?"

The conference is designed for physicians, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and other practitioners involved in pressure ulcer prevention and treatment.
