ACLU challenges rave law prosecutions

The Louisiana American Civil Liberties Union has filed a lawsuit against a federal crackdown on rave parties in New Orleans. The ACLU filed the lawsuit on behalf of a band scheduled to perform at a future event.

The Louisiana ACLU objects to a plea-bargain arrangement between federal prosecutors and rave organizers that would prohibit the use of glow sticks, pacifiers, vapor rubs and masks--party accessories often linked with ecstasy use.
