Hawaii: Hawaii cuts alcohol sales to juveniles

Hawaii's Underage Alcohol Sales Survey show stepped up efforts to stop retail stores from illegal selling alcohol to minors is showing success.
Honolulu law enforcement reduced the number of sales to minors by educating retailers on state laws banning alcohol to minors and using unannounced inspections made at 330 businesses.
Almost 81 percent of the businesses carded minors and/or refused to sell alcohol to teen decoys. Last year, outlets that sold to underage buyers numbered 39.3 percent.
