Alaska: GOVERNOR ENACTS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BILL

Gov. Frank Murkowski signed a bill, HB 398, to create special panels to investigate the circumstances of deaths that involve domestic violence.
The Domestic Violence Fatality Review Teams would also make inquiries into responses of law enforcement and public agencies to complaints that preceded a death.
The panels would also coordinate agency responses to violence incidents.
