AAACN Viewpoint, Sep/Oct 2006
AAACN is the association of professional nurses and associates who identify ambulatory care practice as essential to the continuum of accessible, high quality, and cost-effective health care. Its mission is to advance the art and science of ambulatory care nursing.
AAACN has made arrangements with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to offer the Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification Exam for the first time at the 2007 conference in Las Vegas, March 29-April 1.
To help prepare you to take the exam, the Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification Review Course will be held all day Thursday, March 29. The exam will be offered Sunday afternoon, April 1 - tentatively at 1:30 pm., following Closing Ceremonies.
If you have been thinking about becoming certified but just have not made the commitment, here is your chance! Certification validates your knowledge and level of excellence in ambulatory care nursing practice. If you are coming to the conference, why not take that extra step and take the certification exam while you are in Las Vegas? If you were not planning to come to the conference, maybe the exam will change your mind or prompt your employer to send you!

* Hot off the Press - Core Curriculum for Ambulatory Care Nursing, 2nd Edition - the main study resource to prepare for the exam.
