AUTHOR BIOGRAPHIES
Ronald B. Wilkes is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems in the Fogelman College of Business and Economies at The University of Memphis. He received a BSE from The University of Tennessee - Martin, an MBA from Memphis State University, and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from The University of Minnesota. His primary research interests are in management of the information technology resource. He has published in several top journals and conference proceedings. He has consulted with a variety of organizations in both the public and private sectors on the management of information technology. Prior to entering academia, Ronnie was Vice President of Systems for Data Communications Corporation, Memphis and Vice President of Development for Cylix Communications, Memphis. He was President of the Memphis Chapter of the Society for Information Management. He served most recently as Vice-President and Chief Technology Advisor for Global Operations and Technology at CitiCorp.
Judith C. Simon is a Professor of Management Information Systems in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics and Director of the Center for Innovative Technology at The University of Memphis. She received a BS from Oklahoma State University, an MBA from West Texas State University, and an Ed.D. from Oklahoma State University. She has taught over 30 courses and currently focuses on courses related to computer literacy, Internet programming, and decision support systems. She has published numerous articles in academic journals and conference proceedings. She has also written numerous textbooks, including several on computer concepts and computer applications. She previously worked for a manufacturing company and keeps current on business concerns by serving as a consultant for various organizations.
