Journal of Information Systems Education, Fall 2006

I am proud to present his Special Issue on Systems Analysis & Design Education. The Guest Editors, Michael Lang, Briony Oates, and Keng Siau worked hard to prepare an outstanding issue on a topic that most Information systems professors believe is critical to the IS curriculum and to IS students. We hope that you will enjoy this special issue. I also want to thank all of the reviewers for this special issue. They are listed on page 353 and 354. Thank you one and all for an excellent issue.

The mission of the Journal of Information Systems Education (JISE) is to be the premier journal on information systems (IS) education. To support that mission, JISE emphasizes quality and relevance in the papers that it publishes. In addition, JISE recognizes the international influences on IS education and seeks international input in all aspects of the journal, including content, authorship of papers, readership, paper reviewers, and Editorial Board membership. JISE continually seeks original articles of special interest to IS educators that generally cover one of the following topics: teaching tips; innovative classroom practices; IS curriculum issues; research in IS education; cases for use in an IS classroom; pedagogy in teaching IS subjects; teaching assessment; industry relations; or other related topics in IS education. Authors should review the Guide for Initial Submissions of Manuscripts on page 355 and submit your manuscripts to the editor at jisefgi.appstate.edu.

Please see the Call for Papers on the next page for the next JISE special issue on Flexible Teaching and Learning in IS education. I hope you will consider submitting a paper for that issue. Also new in this issue is our Statement of Peer Review Integrity, shown below. We strive to continuously make the journal more relevant and useful to IS educations worldwide.

JISE is indexed by ABI/Informs, EBSCO Business Source Complete, ProQuest, H.W. Wilson, and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory(TM). We are also listed in Cabell's Directory of Publishing Opportunities in Management.

STATEMENT OF PEER REVIEW INTEGRITY

All papers published in the Journal of Information Systems Education have undergone rigorous peer review. This includes an initial editor screening and double-blind refereeing by two or more expert referees.
