Measurement Specialist
Sound and Vibration, Feb 2004
PCB Piezotronics has announced the association of Dr. Patrick L. Walter with its staff at PCB headquarters in Depew, NY. PCB has designated the title of Measurement Specialist to Dr. Walter, who is also a member of the engineering faculty at Texas Christian University (TCU).
Prior to associating with PCB and TCU, Dr. Walter acquired 30 years of experience working in and managing laboratory and full-scale test facilities at Sandia National Laboratories. Much of this testing was associated with nuclear and conventional ordnance and involved the measurement of dynamic force, pressure and acceleration, the core of PCB's business. While at Sandia, Dr. Walter was also involved with both the aviation industry and flight-testing. His experience will significantly contribute to the growth of PCB's defense and aerospace business.
At TCU, Dr. Walter's teaching focus is directed towards measurement and control system design. This teaching focus is sponsored by entities such as LockheedMartin, Bell Helicopter and U.S. Army. Dr. Walter is a member of three professional societies, has been or is active on DoD and DOE committees, is widely published, and consults extensively on measurement system design both nationally and internationally
