AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod Challenge returns

GLENDORA, Calif.-The 2003 NHRA AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod Challenge exhibition schedule includes a new venue on the 10-race tour.

The Pro Mod Challenge will be contested for the first time at the Lucas Oil NHRA Route 66 Nationals in Chicago May 29-June 1. The rest of the schedule consists of the Mac Tools NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville March 13-16, O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston April 10-13, Mac Tools Thunder Valley NHRA Nationals in Bristol April 25-27, Matco Tools SuperNationals in Englishtown May 15-18, Sears Craftsman NHRA Nationals in Madison June 27-29, Mactools U.S. Nationals in Indianopolis Aug. 27-Sept 1, O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals in Memphis Sept. 18-21, O'Reilly Fall Nationals in Dallas Oct. 9-12, and ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals Oct. 23-26.

The NHRA AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod Challenge exhibitions will be aired as a stand-alone show on ESPN2 on a tape-- delay basis and will be produced by Masters Entertainment Group.

The invitation-only exhibitions will feature eight-car fields as set during two qualifying sessions, to be held Friday and Saturday of each event. Sunday's final eliminations will feature three rounds to determine a winner.

A special NHRA AMS Pro Mod Challenge Shootout is scheduled for the O'Reilly Fall Nationals with an additional $10,000 in prize money available to participants, selected by AMS Staff Leasing and subject to NHRA's approval, based on a tobe-determined AMS points system.
