Delaware, Ohio, recently updated eight welcome signs to congratulate the accomplishments of the Jeg's Mail Order team.
The signs are attached to the same placards that read "Delaware, Birthplace of Rutherford B. Hayes, 19th President of the United States." Just below the tribute to Hayes is a bright yellow sign that reads "Home of Team Jeg's, 3 Time World Champions." The signs are located as you enter the city limits from Highway 23 North, Highway 23 South, Highway 42 North, Highway 42 South, Route 36 East, Route 36 West, Route 37 East, and Route 37 West.
"The city of Delaware is proud to be the home of the Jeg's Mail Order team," said Delaware Mayor Windell Wheeler. "They are a fine group of people and a real asset to our community."
Said Jeg Coughlin Jr., "We are honored by the kind gesture. Delaware, Ohio, has traditionally been known for The Brown Jug' horse race and Ohio Wesleyan University. We are pleased to help bring recognition to such a great community."
