National Dragster, Jul 25, 2003

Infineon Raceway will host a silent auction, featuring signed memorabilia from the top stars on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series tour, during the Fram Autolite NHRA Nationals in early August. All proceeds of the auction will benefit Speedway Children's Charities and will be distributed to youth organizations in Sonoma County.

The auction will be held Sunday, Aug. 3, with a preview beginning at 8 a.m. NHRA POWERade drivers will be on hand to help close the auction at 10:30 a.m. The auction will be held in the Infineon Technologies Business Center, located below the Media Center and adjacent to the main grandstand in the paddock.

Some of the items being auctioned are pistons signed by Top Fuel driver Brandon Bernstein and Funny Car racer Gary Scelzi; autographed team jerseys from Budweiser Racing, Team Fram, and Team Advance Auto Parts; autographed diecasts from Cruz Pedregon and Doug Herbert; racing shoes signed by Funny Car driver Ron Capps; and framed pictures with personalized autographs from John Force, Kenny Bernstein, and Larry Dixon.

In addition, rock memorabilia donated by San Francisco's The Bone 107.7 FM will be auctioned, including a signed guitar from the 2003 Bone Bash in San Francisco, which featured Sammy Hagar & the Waboritas, Y&T, and Creedence Clearwater Revisited. For information, call Denise Silver, (707) 938-8448, ext. 150.
