SILVER DOLLAR RACEWAY, Reynolds, Ga. (Oct. 11) - John Wooly cashed in on Jeff Hairrington's red-light to claim NHRA King of the Track honors. Wooly earned a berth into the King of the Track race by winning the Super Pro championship in the Jerry Barker Chevrolet E.T. Racing Series; Hairrington won the Pro championship.

Earlier in the evening, Wooly eliminated Sportsman champion Ken Huckaby, a former Division 2 NHRA Summit Racing Series Finals Sportsman titlist. Hairrington topped Ed Swearingen, tied with Shorty Harris for the lead in Silver Dollar's Q106 Super Street Series. Swearingen represented Super Street after beating Harris in a sudden-death runoff Sept. 27.
