National Dragster, Jul 2, 2004

MOROSO MOTORSPORTS PARK, West Palm Beach, Fla. (May 22-23) - Beautiful weather provided a perfect backdrop for Moroso Motorsports Park's annual Drag Bike Dash presented by WZZR Real Radio, Greater Yamaha and Harley-Davidson Buell of Palm Beach, and Treasure Coast/Stuart Harley. The festivities and racing included four heads-up bike classes, five bracket bike classes, a bikini contest, and live music. The Moroso bike show had more than 100 entries, inculding a variety of Sports Bikes, Cycles, Race Bikes, and Harley-Davidsons. Among the show winners was Geoff and Gregory Slater's Kawasaki, which was named Best Race Bike. Rider John Trollip wheeled the bike to the Top Gas Heads-Up final, but he forfeited the race when the bike broke on the starting line.

Moroso's quarter-mile dragstrip had more than 80 bikes competing for titles and purse winnings. Doug Destefano won the Harley-Davidson title with an 11.53 (11.51 dial) to beat Charles Harnmil in the final. Randy Stager coupled a .571 light with a 10.59 to beat Drake Mayerhoter in Street Bike.
