FEATURED FLYERS

National Dragster, Sep 10, 2004

"Originally, when I visited with Jerry Bickel, I was looking at a couple of used Pro Stock cars, including an old Jim Yates car," said Forkner, who gets help from wife Marilyn, Randy Ritchey at Performance Associates, and sponsors Brighter Image Dental and Lucas Oil. "But after we spent some time together, he said he would build me a new one for the same price as the ones we were looking at. The whole experience was great. I absolutely love this car; it's just a dream to drive."

Since retiring, Forkner has attended seven national or divisional events, including the O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals, where he was a second-round finisher. His best result was a runner-up finish at the Sonoma national event, where he lost to Todd Stewart on a red-light.
