Walker, Beets take High School Drags titles at Kansas City

KANSAS CITY INT'L RACEWAY, Kansas City, Mo. (Sept. 26) - Despite the strong turnout from dozens of local high schools, the race belonged to Turner at the 2004 Fall High School Drags. Lee's Summit North, Paola, Ray-Pec and Raytown South gave the racers from Turner a run for their money. Ray-Pec took another KCIR Spirit Award, and Todd Timbrook won the Greg's Tires Burnout contest.

Kathy Walker beat Todd Long in High School Bracket I (14.49 and quicker). Logan Beets drove to the High School Bracket II (14.5 to 16.49 seconds) win over Michelle Brewer. Chris Cahill won High School Bracket III (16.50 seconds and slower) over Josh Danielsen. In Alumni, Chad Parkhurst outran Jason Hennessey. Mitchell McDonald took Bike over Brad Arrmadale and Terry Gito beat Beau Berry in Quad.
