A Blaze Of Fuels VP Racing Fuels Inc. offers a new series of unleaded racing fuels specifically engineered for high-performance street cars, sport compacts in particular. StreetBlaze 100, well-suited for high-performance street cars, is oxygenated with ethanol. Environmentally friendly, it meets California Air Resource Board requirements and is street legal throughout the United States. At 100 octane, it generates substantial power increases over premium-grade 92 octane unleaded gasoline. StreetBlaze 100 works well in the latest generation of electronically controlled turbo engines, for example the Subaru WRX. StreetBlaze 101, a 101 octane fuel, works well in the same applications as StreetBlaze 100, with comparable power increases. Though street legal in many states, StreetBlaze 101 is not legal in those states that restrict the use of MTBE. Customers should check their local regulations to ensure compliance prior to use. StreetBlaze 103 is the highest octane unleaded street-legal fuel in the U.S. This 103 octane fuel provides power and protection equal to some leaded racing fuels. It typically allows turbo engines to raise the boost from the stock 8 to 10 pounds to 20 to 25 pounds. Although street legal in many states, StreetBlaze 103 is not legal in those states that restrict the use of MTBE. Customers should check local regulations prior to use.

Tubular Control Arms
Global West Suspension now offers tubular control arms for 1973-77 GM ?-bodies. The upper arms are built with 1 1/4-inch-diameter dom tubing with a cross brace to reduce flex and maintain strength and features 5 1/2 degrees of positive caster built in for better straight-line stability and dramatically improved corner entry. The camber curve is changed, keeping the tire flatter on the pavement during high-speed maneuvering. Lower control arms maintain stock height and are built with 1 5/8-inch-diameter dom tubing with special sway bar connecting end links. A rotating coil spring cushion for proper spring indexing is standard. These tubular control arms are available with DEL-A-Lum bushings or polyurethane and require no frame modifications. Starter Drive Sprag Clutch
CSR's new starter drive sprag clutch was designed to surpass the performance of the ramp roller design. The sprag clutch design consists of 12 sprags that move freely throughout a double cage. The cage allows the sprags to have free and independent action but keeps the sprags in place to prevent misalignment due to vibration or other effects. When the engine is started, the sprags wedge between the inner and outer surfaces, synchronizing for maximum load sharing and resulting in greater torque capacity and extended performance and longevity on all start drive parts.
