NHRA has an immediate opening for a webmaster for its family of websites, including the hugely popular NHRA.com main site and more than a dozen subsidiary sites covering NHRA's owned racetracks and divisions and other racing series.
This exciting job takes place in a dynamic environment within the publications department, home to the award-winning publication National DRAGSTER, and affords a front-row seat to the latest developments within NHRA and the racing community and the opportunity to create new features for NHRA members and fans.
General responsibilities include maintaining, developing, and troubleshooting programming for the websites, assisting in updates, and working closely with other departments within NHRA to develop web solutions.
The qualified candidate must have a minimum three years of related experience and thorough knowledge of current programming languages (HTML, ASP, scripting), including database programming and SQL. The candidate should also have a expertise with Internet software and hardware (TCP/IP, web browsers, e-mail and FTP clients, modems, scanners, and other peripherals) as well as proficiency with graphies programs, back-end applications, and server functions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and copy editing/proofreading skills are a must.
