Spring has sprung and summer is upon us. . .Some of our board members will be moving on and new ones will soon be joining us! By this time, we will have introduced all of the newly elected board members at our transitional meeting scheduled for June 24, 2004 at President, Shelly Schneider's house. The planned yard sale scheduled for June 12 may possibly be rescheduled for a later date that will be announced. Again, anyone who is interested in becoming a member or Member at Large (we can always use one more) for Region V, please contact Shelly Schneider at Shellyapn@hotmail.com. It has been a pleasure writing as VP Communications for Region V! I hope that everyone has a healthy and happy summer.
REGION 6
Anne Vitale, RN VP Communications
On March 15, Region 6 Atlantic County Chairperson, Janice Leach, facilitated a very informative program: International Nursing Care of Children with Facial Deformities. Barbi Harris, RN C, a member of Operation Smile, presented an overview of the outstanding work in third world countries done by nurses like her and other health care professionals and numerous volunteers. How inspiring she was! We also had a few non-members join our membership that evening, so they received a free dinner from Region 6.
