Sarala C. Mundassary, MD, MPH

Sarala C. Mundassery, MD, MPH is the Medical Director of the Greater Trenton Behavioral Health Care Center in Trenton, New Jersey. She is a strong supporter and advocate for the role of Advanced Practice Nurses. As Medical Director of the Greater Trenton Behavioral Center, she hired four APN's to provide primary care to patients with chronic mental illness in an underserved area in Trenton, New Jersey. She has also sponsored a grant to hire an additional APN for the agency's Integrated Case Management Department.

Dr. Mundassery is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and a renowned expert in psychopharmacology. Her Masters Degree in Public Health brings a unique perspective to her practice as a mental health care provider. She is highly respected for her knowledge of the most current literature in her discipline.

In addition to her work at the Behavioral Health Center, she is the staff psychiatrist at The College of New Jersey in the Student Health Center. She also maintains a private practice in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
