Deanna has provided mental health consultation to numerous organizations including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Newark and the Northern NJ Maternal Child Health Consortium's Reduce Stress for Baby's Best Project. A professional with a breadth of clinical experiences, she has provided nursing services in diverse settings including private, state, military, and university hospitals and community health organizations. Combining her passion for natural approaches to wellness and mental health promotion, Ms. Johnson is a frequently sought speaker, workshop leader, and consultant on such topics as stress management, test anxiety, and holistic approaches to wellness. She is currently developing a Guided Imagery audiotape series and expanding her practice to establish an integrative health, medical and teaching clinic in New Jersey. She has had a private practice in psych-mental health since 1981 in West Orange, New Jersey.

She also earned a Past-graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Rehabilitation from Boston University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Holistic Nursing from the College of New Rochelle

Carol S. Kleinman, PhD, RN, CNAA
Dr. Carol Kleinman is currently the Director of the Health System Administration Programs at Seton Hall University, School of Nursing. In this role, Dr. Kleinman has been responsible for the recruitment and retention of students in the graduate Health Systems Administration programs and has developed and implemented a new curricula and all new courses for the MSN in Health Systems Administration and MSN in Case Management/Health Systems Administration.
Carol was successful in writing and securing a three-year $588,000 grant for the development of a fully online MSN program in Health Systems Administration from the U.S. Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, Bureau of Health Professionals, Division of Nursing. She also established a dual MSN/MBA degree program in collaboration with the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall. Carol was one of the first faculty members in the College of Nursing to put her course online. Her online course served as a model for all online courses that followed in the College of Nursing. The use of these new technologies has enhanced learning in both our traditional and non-traditional learning environments. Scores of graduates from the programs that she developed and taught in are now serving in executive leadership positions throughout the state and the nation.
Carol is always responsive to student questions and comments. Her discussion questions as well as her feedback encourage critical thinking. Her class content is presented in a way that it is paced according to the student's capacity to follow the material. Carol frequently clarifies information and integrates a variety of examples from individual student's experiences to reinforce the material. The appropriate use of positive feedback integrated throughout the class helps maintain students' interest. It is evident that Carol is familiar with the content covered and knowledgeable about the subject matter. She uses a variety of examples from her teaching and practice experiences to clarify major points. Carol's teaching provides an interactive environment of mutual respect where students are obviously comfortable asking questions and providing answers to questions posed. She possesses an easy going style and ability to transfer complex concepts in an easy to understand manner. Evaluations by students enrolled in her courses indicate that she is an excellent teacher who is enthusiastic, available, supportive and helpful. Carol's students are prepared not only for change but to initiate change. Through her own dynamic vision of an ever changing environment in health care, her students are socialized to this vision. Carol is an educator who prepares students not just for today or this week's test and assignments but next year's is extraordinary.
