>Our January/February 2004 cover story on Black/Latino relations, "Strength in Numbers," referred to a KKK rally in Cocke County, Term., and a NAACP counterdemonstration. The NAACP did not organize the KKK protest, rather it was an adhoc gathering of hundreds of individuals from the community. On the same day, two local groups, the Tanner Committee and the Community House Cooperative, also held a Diversity Festival, a positive event intended to counter the KKK's efforts.
