Welcome salute to administrators' varied talents

MGMA Connexion, Jul 2006 by Noles, Janet

Thank you, thank you, for the article "You're on the team! How today's medical practice administrators are becoming players in clinical care" (April 2006 MGMA Connexion). For those of us administrators who have both a clinical and business background, it is wonderful to see an article that salutes and shows the great benefits of having an administrator with both attributes. To me, having an administrator who only sees one side of the practice is cheating him/herself as well as the staff and doctors. Those of us involved with both sides of a practice seem to have a better overall outlook on what is going on, but this also adds to the frustrations of running a practice.
