Hypnosis and the altered state debate: Something more or nothing more?

American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis,  Jul 2005  by Wickramsekera, Ian II

Lynn, S. J., Fassler, A., & Knox, J. (2005). Hypnosis and the altered state debate: Something more or nothing more? Contemporary Hypnosis, 22(1), 39-45. In a response to the Kallio and Revonsuo (2003) article, the authors clarify what they consider to be several simplifications and misrepresentations of the sociocognitive theoretical position inherent in the Kallio and Revonsuo presentation.

Problems and limitations with their article are discussed. Address for reprints: Steven Jay Lynn, Ph.D., Psychology Dept., State University of New York at Binghamton, Binghamton, NY 13905, USA. E-mail: slynn@binghamton.edu
