Print Action, Feb 2003

TRENDWATCH GRAPHIC ARTS reports that creative markets will, as a whole, continue to experience marginal growth over the next five years. The independent research firm found that professional creative markets are largely saturated and grew only three per cent from 2002 to 2003. The report also suggests the use of colour digital printing and on-demand creative services are on the rise, while traditional offset jobs are on the decline. E-mail campaign design is also on the rise. This signals more targeted and focused direct-marketing projects, according to TrendWatch, which will escalate as the calendar nears 2007.
