CAPITAL COLOUR PRESS moves into computer-to-plate with the installation of an Agfa Palladio platesetter. The mid-sized, full-colour commercial print company, based in Edmonton, has annual revenues of $5-million. Capital Colour produces a range of material from business cards to books. Twenty employees of the company include graphic designers, a bindery department and press operators, so that a client's project can be taken from the concept stage to finished product. In addition to the Palladio, Capital Colour uses Apogee Pilot for workflow, Lithostar plates and a Sherpa 43 inkjet proofer to provide contract and imposition proofs to its customers.
