ADAST, the Czech-based press manufacturer, has received a cash injection and is under new management. The new owner is a venture capital company, called Penta, which will concentrate on technical development, marketing and expansion of sales financing. Penta is negotiating with Presstek about the future of the PAX press, built by Adast.
The technology was previously sold by Xerox as its DC400 engine. Adast was the first company to use Presstek heads to offer direct-imaging technology on a B2 press.
