Print Action, May 2003

>EFI presented its long-time customer Kinko's with the millionth Fiery shipped. The first Fiery was introduced at Seybold in 1991, when it was a colour-printing breakthrough at five pages per minute. A year later, EFI went public and eventually grew into its $350-billion self. The company also introduced its new Q4500 Fiery production-class server for the Xerox DocuColor iGen3, developed using the Open Production Print Controller interface to integrate with the Xerox DocuSP controller.
