PUBLISHERS INFORMATION BUREAU reports that total advertising revenue for the month of March increased 11.6 per cent when compared with March of last year, closing at US$1.6 billion. Ad pages for March totaled 21,561, up 9.1 per cent from last year. Year-to-date, advertising revenue closed at nearly $3.8 billion, which is an increase of 10.3 per cent over last year.

Drugs & Remedies and Home Furnishings & Supplies saw big increases in ad revenue in March 2003. Only Technology experienced declines in both revenue and pages.
