VERTIS, a provider of technology-based integrated marketing and advertising solutions, released a study claiming that traditional media is holding strong against the internet. The study indicates that newspaper readership has increased by seven per cent since the year 2000. "The findings of Customer Focus show that although Internet usage has increased by eight per cent from 2000 to 2002," says Therese Mulvey of Vertis.

"Consumers' use of TV, newspapers and radio has increased at a comparative level, and these outlets are still far more popular."
