HEIDELBERG USA has completed the betatesting of its new Quicksetter 300E platesetter and is currently installing the system into a Georgia-based company specializing in digitally printed 2-colour newsletters. The QS 300E allows printers to print from paper, film or polyester plates with 1,200, 2,400 and 3,000 dots per inch.
New drum technology on the QS 300E enables impressions of 10-micron spot size and 0.0005-inch repeatability.
