Printer: Parker Pad & Printing Limited

Project: Kinder Surprise Display Cases

Client: Solutions With Impact

Planning

A total of 200 english and 50 French units were produced for this project * Although the total number of units produced was small, the project was very involved because of the number of individual components and the need for hand-assembly * Several test dies and pieces were first output to ensure final assembly would be exact * The client wanted a unique and interactive display to meet its production standards

Production

Produced with Staccato technology on a 6-colour, 29-inch Heidleberg press * Printed in 4-colour process 1 special colour on a 15-point CIS card stock * An inline aqueous gloss was added for protection during hand assembly * The components were all diecut and creased on a Heidelberg Cylinder Diecutter * All of the components were hand-assembled in-house (d-taping each piece), before adding the supplied Kinder Surprise Eggs, MP 3 players and CDs into the display * A sell sheet was also included, after it was printed digitally on a NexPress 2100 using the 5th unit specifically to enhance the vibrant orange colour
