Condolences: Lucy Eggers

To the family of Miss Lucy Eggers of Ann Arbor, Mich., in her death.

Miss Eggers was a former University of Alabama School of Nursing Associate Professor of Nursing. Miss Eggers was the Alabama State Coordinator of Tuberculosis Nursing until the program closed in the late 1960s. More about her contributions to nursing education appear on pp. 123-137 in Dean Hixson's history book. She was a member of ANA, ASNA, The National League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, the Council of Directors for Alabama Public Health Association, Professional Schools of Nursing and the American Association of University Professors. Miss Eggers is survived by one sister, Helen Graham of Ann Arbor, Mich, and several nieces and nephews. Contributions can be made to Heartland Health Care Center, 4701 East Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48105 or to any charity of your choice in memory of Miss Eggers.
